boundary work: showing up for ourselves & others

from $0.00

This is a prerecording of a webinar that has already occurred.

About the webinar:

"Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously" - Prentis Hemphill

Boundaries are one of the most fundamental ways that we assert our needs and build supportive relationships with others. But learning how to affirm your boundaries can be super challenging for those of us who grew up in homes where our needs and boundaries did not matter. As we become more confident in our boundary work, we can swing from one end of the pendulum to the other. Instead of having permeable boundaries, our boundaries become rigid. Instead of effacing ourselves to make others happy, we use the language of boundaries to avoid taking responsibility for the fact that our needs can and will impact others.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn a 4 Step model for asserting boundaries that are rooted in your values.

  • Gain strategies for expressing your boundaries to others in ways that honour the context of each relationship.

  • Receive a trauma-informed approach that acknowledges how boundary work can activate our nervous system.

  • Be given a 24-page workbook with additional reflections exercises.

Workshop Cost:

I strive to make my offerings accessible for everyone, regardless of income. I've created sliding scale options with the hopes that those who can contribute more will do so, thus enabling me to offer free/low-cost spots to those who need them.
