Radical Receptivity - Fostering Intimacy After Trauma

There’s been a lot of talk about the importance of radical honesty in supportive relationships. For those of us living with trauma, our attempts at radical honesty were often punished, intimacy was withheld, and we learnt that it wasn’t safe to share our truths with others. In this zine, I talk about the counterpart to radical honesty: radical receptivity. I draw on my knowledge of and experience in generative somatics, attachment styles, and boundary work to explore how radical receptivity can help us foster intimacy after trauma and enable us to move towards radical honesty.
