Communicating Across Conflict: A Trauma-Informed Approach

from $0.00

Thursday, September 15th from 3-5pm MST
Via Zoom (link to be sent the morning of the webinar)

About the webinar:

We can feel like the best communicators in the world — until conflict occurs. From a neurobiological perspective, the nervous system activation that conflict often brings with it can move us into flight, flight, freeze, or submit. It is very difficult to move through conflict, and communicate effectively, when our trauma responses are online. When all our trauma brain cares about is protection, connection feels impossible. What we need to transform conflict is kind, caring, and curious communication.

In this two hour webinar, participants will:

  1. Learn how to set the stage to have the hard conversations that conflict transformation requires.

  2. Gain the tools for active listening and non-violent communication.

  3. Leave with an understanding of the relationship between our trauma responses, conflict modes, and our core needs.

Please note that this workshop builds off of the foundation gained in part 1: Trauma-Informed Conflict Transformation. You will not be totally lost if you haven’t watched the first webinar, but I will be referencing concepts discussed in that session, including five trauma responses and five conflict modes.

There are TWO OPTIONS for purchasing this webinar:

  • Attend live (and receive the recording)

  • Receive the recording only (recording will be sent out within 1 week of the live webinar)

Please be mindful of the fact that there is limited space in the live session. If you know that you will not be able to attend live, please select the recording option when you check out.
